Choose two —
• You gain 3 life.
• Lost Memories deals 3 damage to any target.
• Investigate. (Create a colorless Clue artifact token with “{2}, Sacrifice this artifact: Draw a card.”)

Exile target permanent. Return that card to the battlefield under its owner's control at the beginning of the next end step.

Put target artifact or enchantment with mana value less than or equal to the number of basic lands you control on the bottom of its owner's library.

[+1]: Reveal the top card of your library and put that card into your hand. You lose life equal to its mana value.
[+1]: Until end of turn, Lucien, the Grifter becomes a legendary 3/3 black and red Human Warrior creature with deathtouch, lifelink, and indestructible.

Protection from sorceries
Whenever Magdel, Caller of Souls attacks, create a 1/1 white Spirit creature token with flying that's tapped and attacking for each storied permanent you control. Exile the tokens at end of combat. (Enchantments and legendary permanents are storied.)
